The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating two shootings that occurred overnight in the Kirby Estates Apartment complex.  It has not been determined if the incidents are related. 

On Wednesday, May 31, 2017 about 10:27 p.m., Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 2466 Kirby Road in reference to a shooting that lead to two people being injured and in need of medical assistance.  Both victims were transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. 

At 2:39 a.m. on June 1, 2017, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a second shooting call at Kirby Estates Apartments. The victim was also transported to Regional One Medical Center.

At this time, a person of interest is being held for questioning.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
