Shots Fired Leads to Arrest of Two

On Monday, June 17, 2024, the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating shots had been fired in the area of Tate Avenue near Mitchell Cove in Tunica, MS. Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the area.
Upon arrival, sheriff deputies made contact with two black male subjects. Through further investigation on the scene, sheriff deputies and investigators were able to determine that a dispute between the two individuals and another male led to shots being fired at the male subject.
All three males were detained and transported to Tunica County Jail for further investigation. As of today, Thursday, June 20, 2024, the following arrests and charges have been filed:
Jakyland Anderson, 22, of Tunica, MS
-Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within a Populated Area
-Aggravated Assault
Jordan Anderson, 20, of Tunica, MS
-Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within a Populated Area
-Aggravated Assault
