The following suspects have officially been charged for the murder of Vandarren McCray, 38-year-old who was shot multiple times and killed on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Kirby Estates Apartments in Robinsonville, MS.
Jarvis Grant, 32, of Robinsonville, MS was arrested on September 6, 2024 and has been charged with:
- Murder
- Conspiracy
Tanio Hall, 30, of Robinsonville, MS was arrested on September 4, 2024, and has been charged with:
- Murder
- Conspiracy
Tavion Crutchfield, 23, of Louisiana was arrested on September 4, 2024 and has been charged with:
- Accessory After the Fact
- Conspiracy
Tunica County Sheriff's Office served two search warrants on two different residences at Kirby Estates Apartments, as well as one search warrant to search a vehicle.
On Monday, September 2, 2024, at approximately 7:52 p.m., the Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call advising an individual had been shot at 2669 Kirby Road in Robinsonville, MS. Sheriff deputies and first responders were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, sheriff deputies located one male subject with gunshot wounds. Pafford made scene but the individual succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Tunica County Coroner Glen Grant.
The deceased subject was identified as 38-year-old Vandarren McCray, 38, of Clarksdale, MS.
A search warrant was served September 4, 2024, at 4:12 p.m. at Kirby Estates Apartments located in Robinsonville, MS. Two individuals were taken into custody without incident with warrants from Texas and Louisiana.
Tanio Hall, 30-year-old, black male was arrested in regard to outstanding warrants out of Texas for:
- Weapon Offense
- Failure to Appear
Tavion Crutchfield, 23-year-old, black male was arrested in regard to outstanding warrants out of Louisiana for:
- False Imprisonment
- Battery of Dating Partner - Child Endangerment
