Bullet Found on Local School Campus

On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Tunica County Sheriff's Office received a phone call in reference to a 22 round (bullet) being located outside on the Rosa Fort High School Campus.
The school was placed on lockdown. Sheriff deputies responded to the scene and began searching campus. Nothing further was found, and the lock down was cleared.
Any person found with a firearm on a school campus shall be guilty of a felony and fined up to $5,000.00 or sentenced up to 3 years in MDOC custody for an initial conviction. Additionally, a student can be expelled.
